A Dream to Share

Samantha’s journey began with a crochet hook, a craft she has lovingly practiced for over 30 years. Her early years were spent mastering this art, creating everything from intricate lacework to cozy blankets, establishing a deep and enduring connection to fiber. The sheer volume and variety of her creations speak to her sustained dedication and skill in this foundational craft.

As her personal yarn stash grew, so did her ambition. Samantha harbored a long-standing dream of turning her hobby into a community resource: opening her own yarn store. This aspiration was fueled by a desire to share the joy and endless possibilities that quality yarn offered, and to create a welcoming space for fellow crafters.

Expanding Skills

In the past few years, Samantha significantly broadened her textile repertoire by learning to knit. Though initially a long-time crocheter, she embraced the needles, finding a new dimension to working with yarn. This new skill not only enhanced her own creative output but also solidified her vision for a comprehensive yarn store that could cater to both knitters and crocheters.

The Art of Spinning

Transforming Fiber into Yarn

The most recent and perhaps most transformative addition to her fiber arts mastery was learning to spin. Taking raw wool and other fibers and transforming them into unique, hand-spun yarn was a profound and rewarding experience. Spinning became a “great addition” to her skills, closing the loop on her fiber journey—from raw material to finished yarn, and finally to a completed project. This allowed her to fully appreciate the entire process of fiber creation and preparation, bringing a new level of expertise and appreciation to her crocheting and knitting.

Samantha Bagula’s history is a testament to lifelong learning and the enduring passion for fiber arts, driven by the dream of sharing that passion with others through her future yarn store. Her journey inspires others to explore their creativity and connect with the vibrant fiber community.
